Update on Rebus online connection for participants during lockdown
Dear Rebus Participants,
From the team here at Rebus Theatre, we hope you are coping with the current restrictions occurring in the ACT region. Our greatest responsibility is to stay home and stay safe. Although the ACT lockdown is scheduled to conclude in early September, we are preparing for the end of lockdown to be a gradual return to business and that our workshops and classes might take a while longer to come back to a face-to-face format. In the interim, your directors and facilitators will be offering an online social connections program.
REBUS ONLINE CONNECTIONS PROGRAM
This program is different from your face-to-face program but will offer participants a chance to connect with one another, play a few theatre games, engage with some music and share one another’s experiences during this challenging time.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO PARTICIPATE?
You will need a device with a camera and audio that has a good connection to the internet. This could include a laptop, desktop computer, tablet or mobile phone. The application we will be using for this program is ZOOM.
You will be sent a link via email, or we will call with the meeting ID number and a password for your sessions. These sessions are private and only for participants who were already attending our face-to-face programs.

WHAT’S NEXT
Throughout this week a Rebus staff member will be calling you or your carer to discuss accessibility for you and determine if enough participants are interested to make the online program viable. You do not have to participate in an online program, please feel free to let the Rebus staff know if you do not wish to participate. There will be a minimum number of participants required to go ahead. Once we have an idea of numbers, we will send out invitations to your first ZOOM session in the week starting 30th August 2021.
