‘patch/work’ at River of Art Festival’s ‘Luminous: Celebrating Place’ (Eurobodalla Shire)

Rebus Theatre’s Project Alchemy presents:

‘patch/work’ at River of Art Festival’s ‘Luminous: Celebrating Place’

Project Alchemy artists Deb Cleland is bringing this unique community reflection activity to Eurobodalla Shire’s River of Art festival event Luminous: Celebrating Place September 23 from 4-9pm – Moruya Showground. Book now

Project Alchemy artists Deb Cleland brings patch/work to River of Art event Luminous: Celebrating Place, where passers-by are invited to contribute their repair stories, on recycled paper and fallen leaves. Like the epicormic growth of the eucalyptus not killed by Australia’s black summer fires, patches sprout out from a central structure. The work recognises harm and damage, but also new possibilities and ongoing life. Participants help assemble ‘Patch work’, by contributing stories, materials and the physical labour necessary to grow the sculpture.

This free event is included in general admission entry at  Luminous: Celebrating Place, September 23 at Moruya Showground from 4pm to 9pm. Children under 16 enter free with a ticketed adult.

Project Alchemy is made possible with funding from the Australian Government for the Black Summer Bushfire Grant Program along with support from Rebus Theatre, ACT Government and Ainslie and Gorman Art Centres.
