Rebus Theatre is developing a new program of weekly drama classes for 8 – 12 year olds with intellectual disabilities beginning in Term 4 2022.
Classes will be run by experienced teaching artists as participants play theatre games, build confidence, make new friends and learn acting and performance skills. Participants learn skills in movement, voice and storytelling.
Each term the group creates and rehearses an original play. Students’ strengths are identified and developed. The group performs the play at the end-of-term performance for family and friends.
Fees can be charged to self-managed NDIS packages or paid by families.
We are seeking Expressions of Interest from community to gauge interest and determine the best day/time to run the program. The teaching staff and venue are currently available for either of the following times:
- Mondays at 4:30pm – 6pm
- Thursdays 4pm – 5:30pm
