Dear Rebus Family,
After consultation with the disability sector, Rebus’ Disability Advisory Group, our participants, their carers, and families, the Rebus Board has made the difficult decision to delay the commencement of face-to-face lessons until the week of the 28 February 2022.
This extra time will give the organisation an opportunity to

Allow time for RATs to become more readily available.

Allow time for booster shots for staff & participants to take effect.

Allow time to assess the impact of schools returning to face-to-face learning.
-
Allow time to assess the impact of government workers returning to workplaces.

Allow time to adjust curriculums to ensure safety for returning participants, carers and staff.
-
safely observe the impact from the growing number of cases on the health care system.
At this stage, classes are now scheduled to start from Monday 28th February 2022.
This decision includes our Re-emergence Project with the cancellation/postponement of Residency #2 scheduled for mid-February.
At this stage, we are not moving to an online teaching model expect for our Tuesday ‘Systems of Sanity‘ project.
